Rachel klatzker

Education Manager

Rachel is our new(ish) Education Manager! She comes to us with a background in Parks and Recreation Management, entrepreneurialism with a yoga and food truck business, and is a homeschooling mom of two. She has spent many summers in National and State Parks taking children and adults on guided tours and providing fun and active programming. Recently, Rachel has been connecting with children and adults in the area either by teaching yoga or whipping up some food at events. She is now ready to put outdoor education on the forefront and is planning on including yoga and food in on some of that!

Rachel likes to think outside of the box when it comes to programming and teaching. She has always found it easy to meet children on their level, wherever that may be and is continuously impressed and inspired by nature in all of its beauty, simplicity, and challenges.

With an open heart and mind, she is excited to be working with the MALT community and along the TAM (her first place ever hiking in Vermont- how serendipitous!). She is looking forward to connecting, listening, and learning in order to create new and unique experiences for nature lovers young and old. Contact rachel@maltvt.org.

Ella Doyle

Education Assistant

I’m thrilled to be continuing with MALT after my first summer at MALT camp! My journey as an environmental educator began at the Gundalow Company, a non-profit in Portsmouth, NH, dedicated to protecting local waterways through education and hands-on learning. As the lead camp counselor, I facilitated activities helping connect campers to nature in fun and impactful ways. My time at the Gundalow Company inspired me to pursue a variety of outdoor education roles, including teaching assistantships for Natural History and Human Ecology at the University of Vermont, coaching rock climbing at Petra Cliffs, and most recently, ski instructing with Vermont Adaptive.

Outside of camp you can usually find me seeking a skiing, hiking, or climbing adventure around Vermont. I'm looking forward to combining my passions for environmental conservation, recreation and adventure with MALT youth all year round! Email Ella here.
